A translational study to understand sleep and cardiometabolic health during Ramadan

Ramadan fasting brings profound changes to daily routines, including sleep timing, meal patterns, and physical activity, yet its effects on cardiometabolic health remain incompletely understood.

This webinar presents insightful findings on how behavioral and physiological shifts interact with sleep health and markers of cardiometabolic risk.

We are joined by experts Dr. Rebecca Robbins, our keynote speaker, and Dr. Erik Koorneef as our host, to dive deeper into this topic.

Dr. Rebecca Robbins is Assistant Professor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an Associate Scientist at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Her research is focused on uncovering the connection between the quantity and quality of sleep and various dimensions of waking success, from cognitive to physical and emotional health and well being.

Dr. Robbins has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and 20 encyclopedia chapters. She is Co Author of the book Sleep for Success! and makes frequent television appearances, including the Today Show, Live! with Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, and Good Morning America.

Please note that the section of the live webinar featuring our exclusive presentation on the study exploring sleep, meal timing, and light exposure during Ramadan is not included in this on-demand recording and has been removed.
If you’re interested in learning more about the study, stay tuned for future updates.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope you enjoy the rest of the webinar!
