Dr. Bing Ren is a Professor of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at UC San Diego and the founding director of the university’s Center for Epigenomics. His work has been instrumental in unraveling the complexities of gene control across different cell types and its implications for diseases such as neurodegeneration and cancer. A Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and recipient of the Chen Award for Distinguished Academic Achievement in Human Genetic and Genomic Research, Prof. Ren’s contributions have shaped the field of epigenomics.
