SynEcoSys: Data Visualization Part 3 – Differential expression

This series of instruction videos will help you to understand how to use various functions of the SynEcoSys database.

To perform differential expression analysis using the SynEcoSys database, follow these steps:

  1. Log In: Access the SynEcoSys platform with your credentials.
  2. Navigate to Data Analysis: Go to the data analysis section of the platform.
  3. Select Differential Expression: Choose the differential expression analysis option.
  4. Upload or Select Data: Upload your gene expression data or select from the available datasets within SynEcoSys.
  5. Set Parameters: Configure the parameters for your analysis, such as the conditions you want to compare (e.g., treated vs. untreated samples).
  6. Run Analysis: Execute the analysis. SynEcoSys will process the data and identify differentially expressed genes.
  7. Visualize Results: Use the visualization tools to interpret your results. SynEcoSys provides options for creating heatmaps, volcano plots, and other visual representations of differential expression data[1][2].

For a detailed guide, you can refer to the instructional videos provided in our Youtube channel. These videos cover various functions of the SynEcoSys database, including differential expression analysis.

UPDATE: Launching Celelens Cloud – our new data analysis tool

Now, you can conduct differential expression and other types of analysis in our new, code-free, single cell RNA sequencing data analysis platform, Celelens Cloud.

To make SynEcoSys more focused on providing a rich, clinically annotated database for deep data mining and clinical research, CeleLens Cloud was designed.

To perform differential expression analysis using CeleLens Cloud, follow these steps:

  1. Upload Your Data: Start by uploading your matrix file to CeleLens Cloud. The platform supports various file formats.
  2. Integrate and Normalize: Integrate and normalize your datasets. Perform quality control to ensure your data is ready for analysis.
  3. Select Differential Expression Analysis: Navigate to the differential expression analysis function.
  4. Set Parameters: Configure the parameters for your analysis, such as the conditions you want to compare (e.g., different treatment groups).
  5. Run Analysis: Execute the analysis. CeleLens Cloud will process the data and identify differentially expressed genes.
  6. Visualize Results: Use the platform’s visualization tools to create publication-ready figures, such as heatmaps and volcano plots.

CeleLens Cloud is designed to be user-friendly, allowing you to perform these analyses without needing a programming background. You can either start analysis with your local dataset, or with SynEcoSys data, or with combined local and SynEcoSys datasets.
