Single cell sequencing: A New Dimension in Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment

This insightful three-part webinar, explores the impact of single cell sequencing in advancing cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Talk 1: Comprehensive profiling of tumour heterogeneity and its microenvironment in advanced non-small cell lung cancer at single cell resolution.

In this first section, Prof. Margarete Odenthal walks us through some background information on how cancer is developed, and what are the survival rates, more specifically for lung cancer, moving on to intra-homotumoral heterogeneity, analysis of cancer epithelial cells, and tumour analysis using single cell sequencing.

Talk 2: FocuSCOPE: A multi-omics solution to simultaneously analyse genetic variants and transcriptomes in single cells.

In the second part of this webinar, Dr. Nan Fang, CEO and Co-Founder of Singleron Biotechnologies talks about the FocuSCOPE® Single Cell Targeted Capture Kit technology, utilizing targeted customized probes for simultaneous whole transcriptome sequencing and detection of mutations, gene fusions, and viral sequences from the same single cells.

Talk 3: DynaSCOPE: A time-resolved single cell transcriptomic method to analyse transcription kinetics.

Lastly, Dr. Bleckwehl talks about the DynaSCOPE® Single Cell RNA Dynamic Library Kit which employs chemical labeling to discriminate nascent mRNA and allowing to distinguishing newly transcribed and pre-existing RNA within single cells.

About the speakers

Prof. Margarete Odenthal; Head of the Laboratory of Translational Research at the Institute for Pathology, University of Cologne

From 1999 to 2001, she was CEO of the Santron AG. Since 2011, she is the head of the “Laboratory of Translational Pathology” at University of Cologne. Her main scientific focus is the function of cellular and cell-free miRNA as biomarkers and as putative targets for novel treatment strategies of liver fibrosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. She has published more than 100 articles and four patent applications.

Nan Fang, PhD, MBA; CEO and Founder Singleron Biotechnologies

Dr. Fang has over a decade of expertise in product development, commercialization, team management, and corporate strategy. She draws her expertise from previous roles as Deputy GM at Novogene and leading to the successful launch of 30+ products at QIAGEN. Recognitions: Forbes CN top 50 women.
